Inclusion & Belonging
Two non-negotiable values of the College Panhellenic Association at Clemson University are inclusivity and belonging. These core principles guide all activities, decisions, and interactions within the organization, ensuring that every member feels valued and respected. By fostering an environment of acceptance and support, the association aims to create a welcoming community where diversity is celebrated, and all individuals can thrive.

The Panhellenic community is one of four Greek councils on Clemson’s campus. We are joined by the Interfraternity Council (IFC), Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). The four councils are currently working together to raise awareness of each other and unite the communities. To learn more about the other councils, visit https://www.clemson.edu/campus-life/fraternity-sorority-life/chapters.html.
What We are Doing
Each chapter is required to have a DEI chair within their leadership board.
Monthly meetings occur between Panhellenic executive council and chapter DEI chairs to gauge community progress.
Monthly book clubs are hosted by chapter DEI chairs where Panhellenic women discuss a novel of a featured topic, typically based around the national celebration of that month.
The presidents of the four councils (IFC, CPA, MGC, NPHC) meet monthly.
Encouraging chapter members to participate in educational and experiential activities to increase their knowledge and awareness of individuals not like themselves.
Highlighting Clemson University’s resources for students including educational events, ally trainings, and miscellaneous gatherings regarding topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Goals
Analyze current Panhellenic policies, programs, and partnerships to improve Diversity, Equity,
& Inclusion within the community.
Collaborate to brainstorm and develop new ideas, programs, and initiatives.
Engage the Panhellenic community in DEI conversation.
Organize events which bring awareness to DEI.
Create accountability for the implementation of our diversity and inclusivity goals.
